Chelsea then earned a law degree from the University of Victoria, where she was awarded the prestigious University of Victoria’s President’s Scholarship in 2017. After law school, Chelsea was happy to return to Prince George to complete her articles and was called to the Bar in 2020.

Chelsea is building a practice where she helps clients personally and professionally – preparing wills, planning estates, planning for incapacity, and assisting with the administration of estates. Chelsea also helps clients with setting up new businesses, buying and selling businesses, and drafting partnership and shareholder agreements.   In addition, Chelsea supports clients with their real estate transactions– buying and selling residential and commercial properties and drafting commercial lease agreements.

Chelsea takes “a lot of satisfaction with working with people at different stages of the evolution of their businesses and their family estate planning – including planning for future family events.” She relishes helping clients realize their professional and personal goals.

Assistants: Victoria Kersey and Wendy Craig

On A Personal Note

Chelsea believes in giving back to her community. She is proud to serve on the board of directors of the United Way of Northern British Columbia and firmly embraces their motto of “Healthy People, Strong Communities.” Chelsea was well trained for this commitment. During her undergraduate studies, she was active with the on-campus Prince George Public Interest Research Group and Amnesty International. In law school, Chelsea gained further volunteer experience as an Amicus tutor, helping other students understand statutory interpretation and property law. As with her client work, Chelsea enjoys charitable work because of its direct impact on helping individuals, families, and businesses in the community.

In her spare time, Chelsea does not sit still. She dances with the Yalenka Ukrainian Dancers which puts on regular performances in the community. She enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking, practicing yoga, gardening, and playing the piano.
