Chelsea E. Dunk
Like an NHL team getting a top draft pick, HSJ got to select a major young asset when they acquired Chelsea Dunk. Chelsea comes from 100 Mile House, she did her undergraduate degree in Prince George, then took law school by storm. She won UNBC scholarship awards, won a prestigious law school entrance award, the University of Victoria President’s Scholarship in 2018, and the Christopher P. Kehler Memorial Prize in Family Law.
“With that said, I’m proudest of the fact that I was able to work as an Amicus tutor during my last two years of law school, with a particular focus in helping other students learn statutory interpretation and property law,” Chelsea said.
Soon after graduation, Chelsea came to HSJ to learn to help local families and business owners with their legal needs.
“I like the hands-on creativity that goes into developing solutions for clients,” she said. “I really like discussing how the law can best assist them and the opportunities to help clients avoid future problems by making thoughtful plans ahead of time.”

On A Personal Note
Chelsea enjoyed her time on Vancouver Island but once law school was done she couldn’t wait to get back to the north. Chelsea’s family cabin at Canim Lake has been handed down for four generations. This is where she can cross-country ski, run, hike, do yoga, peacefully read, spend time in her garden, play the piano, and all the interests that keep her well-rounded and community-engaged. During her UNBC days she was active with the campus organization PG-PIRG and the city’s Amnesty International chapter, and at law school she was involved in Pro Bono Students Canada and Access Pro Bono, turning her achievements into client success.
