Simon S. Ennis
Simon is excited to return to northern British Columbia as an Articling Student with HSJ Lawyers. Simon grew up in Burnaby but has spent most of his adult life in the interior.
Simon completed a business degree at the University of Northern British Columbia and worked for a credit union, first as a teller and then in human resources. The interior kept calling him back – he missed the mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. After completing a law degree at Thompson Rivers University, Simon returned to Prince George to start his legal career and reconnect with friends.
He successfully attained membership in the Golden Key International Honours Society – membership is awarded to the top 15% of students at participating universities around the world.
Simon looks forward to working in family law, real estate, corporate and commercial transactions and employment law. His early career in banking and the military has taught him a great deal about commitment, hard work and “the importance of premium client service and working collaboratively with colleagues to get the best results for his clients.” Simon will be called to the Bar in Summer of 2022.
On A Personal Note
Simon enjoys volunteering and believes in contributing to his community. He has worked with Pro Bono Students Canada, established a tax law club at law school, supported ski instructors at a ski resort and volunteered at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
Simon trained and served as an infantry soldier in the Canadian Armed Forces from 2011 to 2016. He proudly continues to serve his country as a reservist and his community as a volunteer.
