W. Murray Sadler LL.D(hon.), Q.C.
Associate Counsel
Murray is a founding member of Heather Sadler Jenkins LLP, and lived in Dawson Creek, British Columbia before attending the University of British Columbia. A family man, Murray has five children and six grandchildren and is an active and distinguished member of the Prince George community, with interests including golf, travel and music. He is a current Director of the Provincial Health Services Association, and a current Trustee of the Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund.
He has particular and special knowledge and experience with forestry legislation, as well as corporate law, bankruptcy and insolvency legislation, income tax and secured transactions. He has also completed courses to qualify as a commercial mediator. Adept at solving problems for his clients, Murray is accomplished at giving good advice, and his objective is always to produce results quickly and efficiently. Murray was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987.

- Member of a Ministerial Committee, of the Department of Advanced Education, called the "Implementation Planning Group" which prepared the basic planning document leading to the formation of the University of Northern British Columbia
- June 1990 - December 1993 inclusive: Chairman of the Interim Governing Council of the University of Northern British Columbia. This council was charged with the responsibility for the start up of the University of Northern British Columbia including management of a capital budget in the order of $140M for the establishment of the Prince George Campus and assembling of the administration, faculty and staff of approximately 250 people
