Alissa was called to the Bar on May 29, 2007, and practices in the areas of commercial and general litigation and administrative law.
Alissa was raised in Edmonton, Alberta and attended at the University of Alberta where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. She then worked as a laboratory assistant in Lethbridge, for two years, prior to attending law school at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. At law school, Alissa was co-chair of the Environmental Law Group and participated in the Law Students Legal Advice Program. In addition to completing the required courses for law school. she completed the requirements for the Dr. Andrew Thompson Natural Resources Law Certificate. She graduated from Law School in May 2006 and immediately thereafter completed the Professional Legal Training Course in Vancouver. Alissa completed her articles at Heather Sadler Jenkins LLP in May 2007.
Alissa remains interested in Natural Resources and Environmental Law. In her spare time, she enjoys running, camping, golfing, and snowboarding. Since moving to Prince George, she has become actively involved in the community. She volunteers for the Minerva Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes leadership among women in the community. she is also becoming a member of the Prince George Chapter of Junior Chamber international, a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs.
